The Ohio Division of Cannabis Control (ODCC) has updated the daily purchase limits for Adult Use customers in accordance with Issue 2 regulations.
Flower: Up to 2.5 ounces of plant material per calendar day
All Other Products (edibles, vapes, concentrates, etc.): Up to 15,000 mg of total THC per calendar day
Additionally, each state-approved product is assigned a Daily Unit value based on product type, weight, and THC content. Adult Use customers may purchase up to 10 Daily Units per day. Medical Marijuana patients may purchase up to 45 Daily Units within any 45-day period.
Please note: Daily Unit values indicate purchasing limits and do not reflect how long a product will last.
Our dispensary staff is available to answer any questions about purchase limits during your visit and will ensure all purchases comply with the regulations.
If you are a Adult Use customer, don’t forget your government-issued ID; we need it to verify you are 21 or older before entering the dispensary floor.
If you are a medical patient, be prepared to present your Ohio medical marijuana card along with the associated ID. The same government-issued ID (Passport, Driver’s License, State Identification Card) used to register for an Ohio Medical Marijuana Card is required to enter the Dispensary Department. The address and the name must match the information in the State Registry.
Commons Cannabis Dispensary accept cash and cashless payments. Credit cards are not accepted. Cashless options include Debit Cards and Dutchie Pay, a direct ACH payment platform linked to your checking account for seamless transactions.

Upon entering an Ohio dispensary, customers present identification. The check-in process varies by State regulations for Adult Use and Medical customers. Dispensaries adhere to strict security measures to ensure the safety of customers. This includes surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security personnel.
On the retail floor at Commons, packaging from various cannabis brands is on display and interacts with digital menu kiosks. On the kiosks, you can conveniently browse all options as roaming staff provide guidance. Feel free to ask questions—they’re there to help. After you decide what you want, your order is prepared before you check out. Products are securely packaged, and each item is labeled with detailed information. After making a purchase, customers exit through a designated door.
Yes! If you do not reside in Ohio, you can still purchase as an Adult Use customer who is 21 or older. You simply need to provide your valid, government-issued ID, such as your state-issued driver’s license.
Cannabis Products
Refunds will be accepted in cases where a product is defective, does not match the item stated on the purchase receipt, or has been mislabeled by the cultivator or processor. All refunds must be processed at the dispensary where the purchase was made and must be accompanied by the original packaging.
Apparel/Merchandise/Accessories
We are happy to accept apparel and merchandise returns within 30 days of the original purchase date, provided the item is new, unworn, and unused. All returns must have a valid receipt or proof of purchase. We reserve the right to refuse any return or exchange if the item does not meet our standards. For accessories from third-party brands that include a manufacturer’s warranty, returns and exchanges must be handled directly through the brand in accordance with their warranty policy. If you need assistance with this process, our team will be happy to guide you in the right direction.
There is no limit to the number of visits that can be made in one day, however sales of product may not exceed Daily Purchase Limits.
Ohio dispensaries are only required to track purchases and retain ID information for registered Ohio Medical Marijuana Patients.
There are no State systems tracking Adult Use purchases, however basic demographic information is kept on file for communication and ordering.
To preorder online, access our menu and choose the location where you want to purchase, make your selections, and follow the prompts to finalize your order. At the checkout screen, select a time for your order to be ready, pickup method, and payment method. Don’t forget to create a Dutchie account and sign up for Dutchie Pay to expedite future purchases!
When you get to the dispensary, your order will be ready to go. You simply need to show your ID and pay.
For those with a qualifying medical condition, a medical marijuana card indicates that a physician certified to recommend medical marijuana and the state of Ohio have approved you to use medical cannabis to manage your condition.
An Ohio medical marijuana card offers different purchase limits for medical patients than adult use customers and medical purchases are not subject to the 10% State cannabis excise tax. There may also be dispensary-specific benefits for medical patients to improve accessibility and affordability.
If you are a resident of Ohio and suffer from one of Ohio’s qualifying conditions, you are eligible to become a medical marijuana patient. Locate a medical marijuana card company or physician with a CTR (Certificate to Recommend) to schedule an evaluation. The registration process, cost, and required documentation may vary between providers.

New Medical Patient Registration
Our check-in process is quick and simple. Medical patients must complete a brief intake form prior to an initial purchase at The Citizen. If placing an online or telephone order for your first order, please complete your intake form inside the dispensary before picking up.
Non-Ohio Medical Marijuana Cards
Only patients registered in the Ohio Medical Marijuana Program may purchase products at Ohio dispensaries.
